Actor Hwang Hee will appear on the small screen this summer with the drama ‘Apartment’.

Hwang Hee has been cast in the new JTBC Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Apartment’ (written by Kim Yun-young, directed by Cho Yong-won, produced by SLL and Rednine Pictures Co., Ltd.), and he will carry strong momentum through the second half of the year. ‘Apartment’ is a slice-of-life human comedy that tells the story of Park Hae-gang, a former boss of the Oasis faction who runs for residents council chair to seize unaccounted funds within the apartment complex, as he joins residents to stamp out corruption.

With Ji Sung, Ha Yoon-kyung, Park Byung-eun, and Moon So-ri already announced in a trusted casting lineup, the confirmation that Hwang Hee will join has sent anticipation among prospective viewers soaring.

Hwang Hee takes on a new transformation as Jang Je-gil, the brain of the Oasis faction. In the story, Jang Je-gil possesses exceptional intellect and passion, but due to a past downturn in his family finances, he chose to become a member of the Oasis faction rather than pursue his studies.

Jang Je-gil also forges a tight bond with Park Hae-gang (played by Ji Sung), who recognizes his keen mind. Then the sudden arrival of Kang Ha-ri (played by Ha Yoon-kyung) is said to gradually bring changes between Jang Je-gil and Park Hae-gang, which is expected to add the lively, distinctive fun unique to ‘Apartment’.

Earlier this year, Hwang Hee appeared back-to-back in the buzzworthy drama ‘Judge Lee Han-yeong’ and the recently concluded ‘Secret Audit’, continuing an unflagging acting streak. In ‘Judge Lee Han-yeong’, which recorded a peak rating of 13.6%, he played a righteous prosecutor, and in ‘Secret Audit’, he shone as the lead of thrill-inducing episodes, once again proving his limitless acting spectrum.
