‘The Girl in Class’ broadcast screen capture

Actor Kim Myung-jun has taken on a fresh youthful romance.

Kim Myung-jun appeared in the short drama ‘The Girl in Class’ (written by Park Su-bong, directed by Park Chan-hoon), released on the 2nd, and captured attention with a performance that delicately portrays the inner life of his character.

Based on a webtoon of the same name, ‘The Girl in Class’ is a youth romance drama about the girl sitting next to him who keeps drawing his gaze during class and a boy who, though awkward before those feelings, undergoes sincere change. Kim Myung-jun plays the boy, an ordinary college student with a kind and pure disposition.

Kim Myung-jun falls for her (played by Jini) at first sight after meeting by chance in a required major lecture room, but repeatedly fails to win her over and ascribes meaning even to her smallest actions, vividly capturing the realistic emotions of unrequited love. In particular, by expressing without exaggeration the moments when the clumsy sincerity and flutter of youth are felt, he added a sense of realism to the character.

Kim Myung-jun also conveyed the emotions and message of the character with depth through restrained narration, leaving a lingering afterglow with viewers.
