“I am getting married, please leave me out”

On the 11th, the YouTube channel ‘Yeonye Dwitongnyeong Lee Jin-ho’ uploaded a video titled ‘Shocking exclusive “I am getting married now” original recording of a phone call with MC Mong. Two chilling faces’.

MC Mong has recently faced allegations raised on MBC ‘PD Notebook’ and elsewhere that part of investment funds amounting to 115 billion won was siphoned into the personal account of Cha Ga-won, chairman of the entertainment agency One Hundred, and that around 12 billion won of that was used for his gambling trip to Las Vegas. One Hundred is an entertainment agency in which Chairman Cha is a major shareholder, and MC Mong took part in its co-founding.

According to the subtitles and description provided with the content, the released recording is presumed to be the actual phone conversation around 1 p.m. on June 26, 2025 between singer MC Mong and a construction businessman, Cha Jun-young. Cha Jun-young is the paternal uncle of Chairman Cha Ga-won.

In the recorded audio, MC Mong pleads, “Sir, I am getting married now. Please leave me out. I cannot stand Cha Ga-won harassing me,” begging to have his name excluded from media coverage.

MC Mong asked Cha for help, saying, “Please let me be on the same side as you, sir,” and “I will follow your wishes, sir.”

Cha expressed displeasure, saying, “I do not know kids like you,” “Did I come looking for you? You came to me. Did I go to you and try to take the company by extortion and threats?” and “Why are you dragging me into your infighting?”

When MC Mong said, “Please leave me out of the media. Please stop everything including ‘PD Notebook’,” and “I am getting married now,” Cha raised his voice, saying, “You dragged me in, so why do you keep asking to leave me out?”

Cha asserted, “You say you never spent the money OO gave you? You punk, you spent 12 billion, and since you gambled, is it not true that OO sent all the money?” and “Be a man and take responsibility for what you should.”

He added, “Even so, I stepped in to mediate between you, to have you leave and go independent, and to wrap things up amicably,” and continued, “Both of you had chances from last June through October. I thought the company had money. I thought you would take money and leave, and OO would straighten out the company, sell it, and make up all the money spent on the company. Am I wrong?” To this, MC Mong replied, “That is correct.” Cha also said, “Find a way to live. Telling it as it is is the right thing,” and “I am someone who has everything clipped and saved by date.”

In a personal live broadcast in May, MC Mong expressed displeasure, saying that the contents of the call had been passed to the media.

One Hundred is undergoing internal turmoil, as continued disputes over management control and various allegations surrounding MC Mong, Chairman Cha, and Cha Jun-young have led to artists leaving and exclusive contract disputes.
