Actor Kim Moo-yeol expressed that he felt honored that Hollywood actor John Cena offered a ‘shout-out’(shout-out·an expression of respect).
During an interview with Sports Kyunghyang held in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 12th, when asked about the ‘shout-out’ from John Cena, Kim Moo-yeol burst into laughter, saying, “Even I think we look alike”.
He said, “I have been a WWF fan since I was young. From when Hulk Hogan and Warrior were champions, I hung their posters in my room, bought WWF magazines, and even rented videos” and added, “Watching John Cena during his WWE run and then as he transitioned to acting, I felt he was not only an entertainer but also a broad-minded, down-to-earth, fun person.”
He continued, “But when someone like that personally uploaded my photo, I agonized over it. Should I also post his photo on social media? Wondering how I could convey my gratitude, I left a comment” recalling the moment.
He also said, “Since John Cena debuted, my younger sibling has been an even bigger fan. My younger sibling told me (that I look like him), and when I looked, even I thought we did look alike.”
