Actor Seong Dong-il’s son Seong Jun has shared an update as an engineering student who holds two patents.

On the 12th, the YouTube channel ‘Sulbijneun Yun Jumo’ posted a video titled ‘Jun-ah, Welcome! Seong Dong-il’s Wish Fulfilled✨ A Drink with Jun~ (Does the real daughter Bini appear?!) | Liberation Talk EP.11’.

That day, Seong Dong-il and his son Seong Jun appeared together to share recent updates and daily life. Seong Dong-il said, “It was my dream to have a drink with Seong Jun,” and raised a glass with his son.

Currently a sophomore in Hanyang University’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Seong Jun revealed that he holds two patents filed during his middle and high school years, drawing surprise.

Seong Dong-il boasted, “He had patents even in middle and high school. Once a year he would make something.”

Seong Jun explained, “In middle school, together with a cram-school teacher, I filed a utility model for attaching a horseshoe-like device to the front of crutches so that people who find it hard to climb stairs can go up while leaning on it.”

He added, “In high school, my friends and I developed a safety light for electric scooters that indicates direction like a navigation system, and I hold a patent for it.”

However, even Seong Jun, who had excellent grades, could not avoid F grades in his freshman year of college.

Seong Dong-il said, “He was a kid who got in with pretty good grades, but as soon as he entered college, he received two or three F’s.”

He continued, “Who studies in freshman year of university? I told him to enjoy the moment,” adding with a laugh, “I told him to contact me if he needed money for drinks.”

Meanwhile, Seong Jun received much love for appearing on the MBC variety show “Dad! Where Are We Going?” and is currently a sophomore in Hanyang University’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
