BTS’s Busan concert was delayed by 75 minutes, disappointing fans.
BTS was scheduled to hold the ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ARIRANG IN BUSAN’ concert at 7 p.m. on the 12th at Busan Asiad Main Stadium in Yeonje-gu, Busan, but due to issues with audience entry, the show did not begin until 8:15 p.m., 75 minutes later than planned.
On that day, posts also poured into various online communities saying people were unable to enter the concert. According to them, as commemorative gifts for roughly 50,000 attendees were insufficient, people waited and entry was delayed, leading to this situation.
HYBE, the group’s agency, issued an immediate apology. HYBE said, “We deeply apologize to all audience members who came to watch the BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN BUSAN performance held on June 12 for the significant inconvenience caused by the delayed start of the show,” and “We prepared as much as possible to ensure there were no lapses in operations in order to provide a meaningful time for the audience, but confusion in on-site guidance, bottlenecks in the queues during the distribution of fan gifts, and delays in merchandise pickup acted in combination, causing the start of the main performance to be delayed. We once again sincerely apologize for the great disappointment and inconvenience caused to the audience members who waited a long time to watch the show.”
They added, “For the performance on the 13th, we will thoroughly review and improve overall on-site operations, including entry and the distribution of gifts, to prevent the same congestion from occurring.”
Following the 12th, BTS will continue the world tour ‘ARIRANG’ at Busan Asiad Main Stadium on the 13th as well.
