Broadcaster Jang Sung-kyu publicly shared a malicious DM (direct message) on his SNS (social networking service).

On the 14th, Jang posted a screenshot of the DM someone had sent him on his SNS. The sender of the published DM identified themselves as ‘a neighborhood resident’.

They left messages reminiscent of malicious comments, such as “Live in a way that is not shameful to your children” “Live by safeguarding a man’s pride rather than money” “People in their 20s and 30s are crying tears of blood right now” “Are you happy making money by acting as OO?”.

When posting this message, Jang wrote, “Huh? A kid from the neighborhood says this to me?”.

A few hours later, the sender apologized, saying, “I drank too much. I am sorry, sir. I vented because I was upset,” and “I did not know you would reply, so I only spewed curses. I did something that crossed the line. I am sorry.”

To this, Jang replied, “Yeah, that can happen when you are drunk. I was going to ignore it if possible, but because you are a kid from the neighborhood, I could not just let it pass. If you see me on the street, say hello.”

Jang has at times drawn attention by occasionally posting many of the negative reactions he receives via SNS. Recently, he said there have been many messages seeking to borrow money and posted examples, and after seeing a message from a fan hinting at death, he put up a request asking for help.
