“The audience walked along to the song”
Kitae of the three-member group Soonsoonhee and singer Baek Ye-seul successfully wrapped up a unique performance in Gwangalli, Busan called ‘walking busking’. They performed an emotion-filled live rendition of ‘Leave, Do Not Leave’ on Gwangalli Beach.
The two recently carried out an unusual busking session around Gwangalli Beach, continuing their live performance while walking the streets instead of on a fixed stage.
Performing live up close with citizens against the backdrop of the Gwangalli sea, the pair instantly captivated the scene with their emotive vocals. Passersby and tourists, caught by surprise at the impromptu street show, stopped one by one and soon began moving along with the music, creating a special sight.
They further lifted the atmosphere by performing live their remake single released in April, ‘Leave, Do Not Leave (A Heart That Transcends Time)’.
Even while on the move, their steady live delivery and delicate emotional expression turned the streets along Gwangalli Beach into a single concert venue. Audience members also pulled out their phones to record the moment, responding with enthusiasm.
Kitae said, “Having received so much love online, I felt it was right to meet members of the public one by one and let them hear us sing. We decided to do this busking to say thank you for helping the song enter the charts.”
Baek Ye-seul shared, “From now on, whatever stage I stand on, I will be a singer who gives my best.”
The new single ‘Leave, Do Not Leave’ went viral on social media with tens of millions of views and later entered the music charts, continuing to draw steady interest.
