Actor Oh Wook-cheol, who made his mark in the 1990s hit drama ‘General Hospital’ as the cool-headed surgeon ‘Viper’, is returning to acting.

T&I Cultures announced on the 15th that it had signed an exclusive contract with Oh Wook-cheol, stating, “We are pleased to work with Oh Wook-cheol, who won public affection with his charismatic gaze acting and distinctive characters,” and added, “As the actor is strongly driven to break a long hiatus and deliver sincere performances, we will spare no full support so that he can be seen in a wide range of projects going forward.”

Oh Wook-cheol debuted in 1981 as an actor specially recruited by KBS, and he gained prominence in ‘General Hospital’ playing Park Jae-hoon, the surgeon nicknamed ‘Viper’, even appearing in commercials. Gifted not only in acting but also in music, he released an album with songs he wrote and composed himself, and he also worked as a radio DJ.

After halting his acting career following the 2011 KBS drama ‘Gwanggaeto the Great’, he signaled a busy return, ready to channel the pent-up desire for acting built up over the years. His new agency, T&I Cultures, declared it would fully support his acting activities.
