It has been reported that Ipjjalbeun Haetnim, a well-known mukbang creator who fully halted broadcasting and YouTube activities last year after being embroiled in the so-called ‘Jusaimo’ controversy, is running a dog cafe in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, starting a new daily routine.
According to MK Sports on the 15th, Ipjjalbeun Haetnim recently took over a dog cafe located in Paju and is operating the shop herself. The space had already been run as a dog cafe, and the previous operator announced on its official social networking service (SNS) last March, “Haetnim, a regular at the cafe, would carry on the space under a new name,” and gave notice of a reopening in April.
In fact, through her own SNS account, Ipjjalbeun Haetnim directly shared the preparations for opening the cafe, checking the dog playground facilities and carefully inspecting the interior. Accounts from visitors who have recently stopped by the shop have also followed. Reviews included vivid comments such as “Ipjjalbeun Haetnim was wearing an apron and personally moving around the shop to work”, “It was striking to see her at the cafe almost every day, serving food and greeting customers.”

True to her background as a famous mukbang creator, she is said to have put special care into the food and beverage menu. Customers have praised it, saying, “Although it is a dog cafe, dishes such as tteokbokki are at the level of a popular eatery”, “It is clear she took part directly in menu development”, “I want to come back just for the food.”
Ipjjalbeun Haetnim's special love for companion dogs is already widely known in the entertainment world and among fans. After saying goodbye in 2023 to ‘Chunsam-i’, a companion dog of 19 years, she revealed a heavy heart, saying, “I cried my heart out with guilt”, “I regret not taking them to see the cherry blossoms more,” which drew deep empathy from many pet owners. She also often uploaded videos on her mukbang channel showing time spent at a dog cafe.
Meanwhile, at the end of last year, when the ‘Jusaimo’ controversy related to unlicensed medical practice erupted, Ipjjalbeun Haetnim temporarily halted activities. In an official statement at the time, she explained, “Because I first met A through an introduction from an acquaintance at a hospital, I believed the person was a doctor and received treatment,” while also saying, “It was my grave mistake not to have examined various circumstances more carefully and behaved more prudently, and I am reflecting deeply.”
She subsequently stepped down from all television programs she had been appearing on, and uploads to the YouTube channel have been on hold since last December. As the long silence continued, the subscriber count, which had reached 1.76 million, has decreased to about 1.68 million.
