Singer and actor IU was spotted at an acquaintance’s wedding.

On the 14th, actor Kim Tae-yeon’s mother posted a photo on Kim’s social media account with the caption, “Taeyeon met her absolute favorite, IU.”

The released photo shows IU and Kim Tae-yeon standing side by side at the wedding, striking a pose. The two worked together in last year’s Netflix series ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’, playing Ae-soon and young Ae-soon, respectively.

Kim Tae-yeon’s mother said, “She understood a child’s heart even over Taeyeon’s small gift and kept saying thank you until the end,” adding, “Both Taeyeon and I had our hearts flutter more than once. I hope she’s always healthy and happy.”

Viewers who saw the photo reacted warmly, saying things like, “She looks like Geum-myeong,” “Her hair, makeup, and outfit are totally Geum-myeong,” and “It’s a reunion of Ae-soon and young Ae-soon.”

Earlier, photos and videos of IU attending the wedding spread across online communities and social media, drawing attention. IU reportedly attended as a guest and also sang her signature song ‘Blueming’ as a congratulatory performance.

Meanwhile, IU apologized over the controversy regarding historical inaccuracies and distortions in the MBC drama ‘21st-Century Grand Prince’s Wife’, which ended on the 16th of last month, saying, “As the lead actor, I failed to show a responsible attitude and seem to have caused great disappointment; I am very sorry.”

Since then, she has refrained from notable activity on social media, and news of her attending the wedding has drawn fans’ attention.
