Park Ji-yeon, who appeared as Woo-jin’s mother, a ‘problematic parent’, in the Netflix original drama ‘True Education’, opened up about the show’s impact.

On the 16th, through a video released on the YouTube channel ‘Netflix Korea’, Park Ji-yeon appeared in a clip where actors who played villains in ‘True Education’ read comments and shared behind-the-scenes stories.

Having appeared as Woo-jin’s mother across five episodes and drawing a strong response, Park Ji-yeon laughed, saying, “Friends told me, ‘It might be dangerous, so make sure you wear a mask when you go out.’”

After the production team conveyed, “We recommend, sorry, that you don’t go out for the time being,” she added, “Yes, so these days I carefully go around wearing a mask.”

She then responded “Thank you” to the comment, “You act like a parent so well. My blood pressure was rising the whole time,” and to the comment, “Are you really a mom?” she said, “I’m not a mom.”

Recalling a character from Netflix’s ‘Morning Comes to the Psychiatric Ward’, she added to the comment, “I can’t even fathom how hard it must have been working at a psychiatric ward as Woo-jin’s mother,” “I laughed a lot when I read that comment.”

Regarding her on-screen character, Woo-jin’s mother, Park Ji-yeon also sent a message: “Let’s not live like that. It would be good if we thought of others, were considerate, and valued everyone.”
