Influencer Kim Ji-young, from ‘Heart Signal 4’, revealed she had been living with polycystic ovary syndrome and shared how her pregnancy arrived earlier than expected.
On the 7th, a video titled ‘How does someone live three years after appearing on a dating show?’ was uploaded to Kim Ji-young's YouTube channel. That day, she held a Q&A session with subscribers and spoke candidly about pregnancy and health.
In response to subscribers asking “I have PCOS; please share tips for conceiving” and “Your second generation came like a gift, but did you have a planned timeline?”, she said, “I have polycystic ovary syndrome,” explaining, “While it varies by person, PCOS is a condition in which ovulation from the ovaries does not occur regularly.”

She continued, “I am currently 30, but my ovarian age came out as 24,” adding, “A younger ovarian age is not necessarily always good. It can also mean that eggs were not released as expected for my age, and my periods were irregular.”
She said she had taken oral contraceptives for treatment for about 5-6 years, adding, “Because of the risk of blood clots, I took a break for about two months, and during that period ‘Poby’ (prenatal nickname) came,” and, “It felt like destiny, and I am so grateful.”
She added, “I also heard it is not easy for fertility to recover immediately after long-term use of oral contraceptives,” saying, “It made me think ‘Poby’ really wanted to come.”

Regarding the timing she had planned for pregnancy, she answered, “We had originally planned to have a child at least two years later,” and, “We thought we would enjoy our newlywed period a bit longer after marriage before having a baby.”
She went on, “At the time, I had severe cold hands and feet, so I took an herbal medicine for constitutional improvement that warms the body and extremities,” and added with a laugh, “I even wondered if that had helped.”
Meanwhile, born in 1995, Kim Ji-young is a former flight attendant turned influencer who became known after appearing on the Channel A dating reality show ‘Heart Signal 4’. She married Trevari reading-club service CEO Yoon Soo-young in February; they had originally planned to hold their wedding in April but moved the ceremony up as they shared the news of her pregnancy.
