Singer and television personality Lee Hyo-ri showed off her spicy wit in the new series of KBS2’s ‘Happy Together’.

Lee Hyo-ri will appear as a special MC on KBS2’s new variety show ‘Happy Together-Glad Not to Be Alone’ (hereafter ‘Happy Together’), which premieres on the 10th.

‘Happy Together’ is a storytelling music audition program where Yoo Jae-suk, who reads people, Jang Hang-jun, who captures stories, and Yoon Jong-shin, who listens to music, come together to focus on narrative and harmony. It marks the show’s return after six years, following its run from 2001 to 2020.

From the very first meeting, Lee Hyo-ri offered a fiery reaction. With 20 years having passed since Yoo Jae-suk, Yoon Jong-shin, and Lee Hyo-ri were a variety-show sibling trio on SBS’s ‘Family Outing’, when Yoo Jae-suk shared the update that “Hyo-ri’s emotional sediment has largely settled,” she responded with a spicy comeback.

Lee Hyo-ri said, “I’m grateful that not a single one of us has fallen into ruin and that we could ‘get together’.” She added, “I had turned down all the audition programs until now, but I came because I heard ‘Happy Together’ was starting again,” showcasing the loyalty of the show’s original leading lady.

With candid, forthright judging, Lee Hyo-ri has not only the MCs but also the contestants in the palm of her hand. From the start, she asks, “May I give some harsh criticism?”, foreshadowing barbed remarks that put the three MCs on edge.

However, just three seconds after a contestant’s performance begins, she unexpectedly bursts into tears, startling everyone. In particular, when the performance ends, she says, “Each song brings to mind one ex-boyfriend,” an all-time confessional evaluation that has the set laughing.
