“If you have listened to this song, come to me”
THE BOYZ member Q (Ji Chang-min) has launched the countdown for the first solo single ‘Anytime’, unveiling a refreshing school-uniform visual lyric poster and handwritten Polaroid photos, ‘taking direct aim’ at global fans.
Global K-POP artist THE BOYZ Q has entered a full-fledged countdown just one day before the release of the first solo single ‘Anytime(Anytime)’, heightening the expectations of global fans.
The team behind the drama ‘My Idol, My Debut’ (director Han Geum-bi · writer Choi Yeon-su · produced by Minari Entertainment) announced the imminent release by unexpectedly unveiling via the official SNS channel (@myidolmydebut) a lyric poster that captures the wistful sentiment of the digital single ‘Anytime’ and handwritten Polaroid photos containing messages to fans.
The lyric poster instantly draws the eye with the unrivaled boyish charm of the high school student ‘Han Jae-ha (portrayed by Ji Chang-min)’ in the drama. Along with his visual that evokes a wistful mood in a neat school uniform, the key line “If you have listened to this song, come to me” adds a lingering resonance. The earnest monologue of Han Jae-ha, seeking to reach someone across time and space, comes through intact and stokes curiosity about the main story time-slip narrative.

The handwritten Polaroid photos awaken the ‘stan’ instincts of fans with the playful, unexpected charm of THE BOYZ Q, the ‘real self’. The Polaroids, filled with the many sides of Q, include the cute handwritten message “Please show lots of love for the Anytime single! :)” and his signature autograph, conveying both the excitement ahead of the first solo launch and his exceptional love for fans. The perfect contrast in tone between the character with a story in the lyric poster and the warmhearted artist in the Polaroids is powerfully sparking the desire of the global fandom to dive in.
With just one day left until release, the new single ‘Anytime’ is a track that concentrates Q s characteristically plain yet sentimental tone and gentle emotional line. Having captivated global fans as a powerful performer who commands large stages, Q is set to reveal without reserve the depth he has cultivated as a vocalist and a highly detailed range of emotion through this first solo song. In particular, the song is organically connected to the romantic yet mysterious time-slip narrative of the drama ‘My Idol, My Debut’, which premieres on July 16, and is expected to serve as a catalyst that maximizes immersion in the work.
The drama ‘My Idol, My Debut’ is a time-slip coming-of-age story about an ardent fan who goes back eight years to prevent a tragic accident, becomes an idol trainee, and tries to change fate. It is a new-concept ‘linked IP project’ in which a fictional idol group releases actual music and performs on stage; the release of Q s solo song opens the curtain on a new music project that fully expands the narrative of the virtual world into the real K-POP market.
Amid hot anticipation from global fans, THE BOYZ Q s first digital single ‘Anytime’ will be released simultaneously worldwide at 6 p.m. on the 9th through various online music platforms.
Highly anticipated as Q s first leading role, the MBC Plus drama ‘My Idol, My Debut’ will premiere simultaneously at 11:30 p.m. on the 16th via MBC Dramanet and the major Japanese OTT platform Lemino, and will then be released sequentially through the K-POP specialty channel MBC M and the platforms Wavve, TVING, and WATCHA.
