Actor Jung Yi-rang continues her momentum as an ‘it actor’ with a new drama.

Jung Yi-rang has confirmed her appearance in JTBC’s new Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Apartment’, which premieres on the 11th. ‘Apartment’ is a slice-of-life human drama that follows Park Hae-gang, a former boss of the Oasis faction who runs for head of the residents’ council in order to seize hidden money within the apartment complex, as he joins forces with residents to root out corruption. With powerhouse actors Ji Sung, Ha Yoon-kyung, Park Byung-eun, Moon So-ri, and Kim Kyu-won all on board, the series has been drawing early attention.

In the series, Jung Yi-rang plays ‘Seojun’s Mom’, a resident who will inject vitality into the story. ‘Seojun’s Mom’ is the steadfast ally and on-the-ground enforcer for Rui’s mom, the administrator of a moms’ online community, and a person who does her utmost for her child and family. Jung Yi-rang is expected to depict a relatable, true-to-life mother with her signature detailed acting.

Earlier in January, in tvN’s ‘Undercover Miss Hong’, Jung Yi-rang played the dorm matron of a residence for unmarried female workers in Seoul, earning warm praise for perfectly recreating the nostalgia of the 1990s. Through ‘Apartment’, she signals an everyday, realistic charm that is 180 degrees different from her previous work, raising expectations for another ‘career-defining’ character.

Starting with the ‘SNL Korea’ series, Jung Yi-rang has built a solid filmography across genres. Recently, she launched her personal YouTube channel ‘Jung Yi-rang’s Jingimyeonggi’, and she continues to engage actively across film, drama, variety, and YouTube, clearly proving her presence as a trending actor.
