KBS2 ‘The Problematic Men in the Rooftop Room’
Broadcaster Hong Jin-kyung shows off her acting pride, calling herself “Park Ji-eun's persona.”
On the 10th (Fri), episode 320 of KBS2 ‘The Problematic Men in the Rooftop Room’ (hereafter ‘Okmun-ah’) will welcome the close-knit ‘Rooftopz’ members Song Eun-yi, Kim Sook, Kim Jong-kook, Hong Jin-kyung, Yang Se-chan, and Joo Woo-jae, and host dependable actor Namgoong Min, known by the title ‘man of a thousand faces’, as a guest, serving up relaxed and cheerful laughs.
Meanwhile, as an actor who delivered passionate performances in numerous hits such as ‘My Love from the Star’ and ‘The Legend of the Blue Sea’, Hong Jin-kyung goes all in to build common ground with Namgoong Min, eliciting laughter. After appealing to Namgoong Min by saying, “I am also an actor. I am working as something like Park Ji-eun's persona,” she adds, “When you take on a character similar to your true self, does acting not become easier? Back then my character was a ‘beggar’, so it fit me perfectly and felt very natural,” laying out her acting philosophy and drawing laughs.

In addition, Hong Jin-kyung volunteers to be Namgoong Min's acting partner that day. When Namgoong Min states, “When working, one must have professionalism, and I get angry when I see people on set trying to cut corners or doing things half-heartedly,” she takes the lead in an impromptu skit, saying, “I will try playing an ill-mannered junior.” Having a front-row, up-close view of Hong Jin-kyung's method acting that makes you clutch the back of your neck, Namgoong Min says, “There was not a single person (a clueless junior) to this extent,” claiming culture shock and provoking gales of laughter.
With the two forming a tight sense of kinship as ‘actors’, anticipation is rising for the main broadcast of ‘Okmun-ah’, where Hong Jin-kyung and Namgoong Min's chemistry is set to deliver delightful laughs.
