Actor Park Sung-woong revealed his side as a ‘master of dad jokes’ and shared cheerful behind-the-scenes stories with actors Park Jin-joo and Lee Sang-yun.

In an interview with Sports Kyunghyang held on the morning of the 4th at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, recalling the set of the film ‘Okay Madam 2’, Park laughed, saying, “Jin-joo had a hard time because of my dad jokes.”

Park said, “I really liked seeing Jin-joo in despair. I felt a bit of a thrill,” and joked, “I told her, ‘You may be in despair now, but when you get home and think about it, you will let out a chuckle.’”

On set, he reportedly fired off dad jokes nonstop. He said, “I kept going with lines like ‘If rain goes to Los Angeles to hold a concert, LA galbi,’ ‘Rain’s manager is obesity management,’ and ‘If it rains for an hour, Chase 60 Minutes,’” introducing his representative gags and drawing laughs.

He continued, “Because fans know my taste, they even give me books like ‘500 Dad Jokes’ as gifts,” adding, “When I see something like ‘The ward where monks are admitted is the intensive care unit’ and find it funny, I use it on set.” Then he said, “One day the book was gone, and it turned out my son had taken it and was reading it. Now I even have dad-joke battles with my son,” prompting gales of laughter.

He added with a laugh, “Even when I went on the variety show ‘Knowing Bros,’ Uhm Jung-hwa, Lee Sang-yun, and Lee Sun-bin were sitting apart over there. How much babamba (dad jokes) must I have done for that to happen.”

He especially aimed a quip at co-star Lee Sang-yun: “He is even worse than I am. It feels even more annoying because a friend who graduated from Seoul National University is cracking nonsensical jokes,” and joked, “It made me think, so this is how others felt when I did it to them; I should rein myself in.”

Meanwhile, the film ‘Okay Madam 2’ is a comic action movie about the family of Lee Mi-young (Uhm Jung-hwa), who set off on a luxury cruise to escape the heat and become entangled in an unexpected incident. Uhm Jung-hwa, Park Sung-woong, Lee Sang-yun, and Bae Jung-nam return from the previous installment, with Park Jin-joo, Ryeoun, and Choi Soo-young newly joining the cast.
