Bae In-gyu, head of the YouTube channel ‘New Men’s Solidarity’, was found dead. He was 36.

According to the police on the 5th, Mr. Bae died at around 8 a.m. that day at an apartment located on Yeongjongdo, Incheon. No suicide note was found at the scene, and the police do not suspect foul play.

The deceased had run the YouTube channel ‘New Men’s Solidarity’, which espoused a far-right stance, advocating men’s rights, anti-feminism, and organizing rallies opposing the impeachment of former president Yoon Suk-yeol. However, in 2024, amid divorce proceedings with his ex-wife, he suffered from depression and panic disorder and halted his YouTube activities.

Subsequently, in May of last year, he was investigated by police on suspicion of using methamphetamine at a motel in Jung District, Incheon. Mr. Bae reportedly admitted to the use during questioning, and on June 12 of the same year, the case was forwarded to the Incheon District Prosecutors’ Office without detention.

Currently, on the ‘New Men’s Solidarity’ channel he operated, all videos except three have been deleted.
