Young K, a member of the group DAY6(DAY6), revealed his once extraordinary meal portions and his recent weight loss.
Appearing on the YouTube channel ‘TEO Teo- Salon Drip’ on the 4th, Young K shared specific anecdotes about his eating habits.
In the video, when asked whether he still maintains the appetite of a big eater, he drew a line, saying, “After doing a stomach-capacity diet, I am now at a point where I cannot call myself a big eater anywhere.”

Even so, regarding how much he eats these days, he replied, “These days, I have about three packets of ramen at a time(eat). Men have three, right?” prompting chuckles from the on-site staff. To Jang Do-yeon’s question about when his appetite was at its strongest in the past, he said, “At my peak, I ate about eight. I originally lived not realizing that I was someone who ate a lot.”
Young K said, “I am an only child, and when I was in elementary school, my mother, father, and I each ate a whole rotisserie chicken stuffed with this much nutritious rice. So I thought that was just normal.”
He also added an anecdote from a partner restaurant during his trainee days. He described the situation: “The restaurant owner said the kids were working hard and would let us have as many bowls of rice as we wanted. But I ordered one soybean paste stew and then ordered bowls of rice eight times, and I got scolded badly.” He also expressed thanks to a convenience store owner who, recognizing his appetite during his trainee days, shared discarded boxed meals with him.
In an interview commemorating the release of his second full-length solo album ‘Youngest(YOUNGEST)’, Young K said, “To look good, I lost about 10 kg over 4~5 months. I lost weight solely through diet, without exercise.”
Recently, DAY6 wrapped up its 10th-anniversary event. After three years, Young K made a solo comeback, releasing his second full-length solo album on the 27th of last month.
