Actress Lee Chae-kyung, who played Im Seon-hwa, the senior court lady of the Queen Dowager’s Quarters in the MBC drama ‘21st-Century Grand Prince’s Consort’, has joined Different Company.

On the 6th, Different Company announced an exclusive contract with Lee Chae-kyung, saying, “Lee Chae-kyung has built her own presence by convincingly completing her characters’ emotions with sincere performances in each project.”

They added, “As an actor with an acting texture that cannot be easily replaced, we will continue to provide unsparing support so that she can further showcase her own colors with greater clarity.”

Debuting in 1999 with the musical ‘Empress Myeongseong’, Lee Chae-kyung has built her own body of work over many years across dramas, films, plays, and musicals. She appeared in dramas including ‘Jirisan’, ‘The Sword of Aramun’, ‘Thank You’, and ‘Climax’, and in ‘21st-Century Grand Prince’s Consort’ she portrayed the senior court lady of the Queen Dowager’s Quarters who looked after Queen Yoon I-rang’s household.

She has also appeared in numerous independent films such as ‘Georgia’, ‘Gyeong-a’s Daughter’, and ‘Prism of Grey Rock’. In particular, through ‘Georgia’ she demonstrated her prowess as an actor by winning Best Actress at film festivals at home and abroad.

Starting with SBS’s new FridaySaturday series ‘Chaebol X Detective 2’, which premieres on the 7th, Lee Chae-kyung will continue her activities in the second half of the year with multiple upcoming projects.

Different Company, which she has newly joined, is home to Cha Mi-kyung, Oh Dae-seok, Takuya, Lee Sang-jin, Kim Min-ho, Nam Hyun-woo, and Lee Ji-hyun.
