With ‘comeback D-14’, Tiffany Young(Tiffany Young) unveiled the ‘Edge Of Calm’ audio snippet, drawing attention with oil painting-like lyricism that unfolds emotions like a canvas.
On the afternoon of the 5th, via her official social media, Tiffany Young released the audio snippet(Audio Snippet) for her first solo studio album ‘Edge Of Calm’(Edge Of Calm).
The uploaded video, centered on painterly visuals reminiscent of an oil painting, delicately depicted the narrative contained in the piece and drew the eye. Scenes that used various objects such as forests and flowers, tomatoes, raindrops, chess pieces, and flames created a distinct mood for each track, and the calm color palette and lyrical direction combined to deliver immersion like watching an art film.
By sensuously embodying the mood unique to ‘Edge Of Calm’, where stillness and tension coexist, it conveyed the message the album seeks to deliver in a more dimensional way. In addition, the music and imagery meshed organically, rendering the hue of ‘Edge Of Calm’ even more vividly.
Through the video, the tracks unveiled for the first time portrayed different atmospheres while flowing naturally, grounded in the signature delicate vocals of Tiffany Young and deepened emotion. Beginning with the double title tracks ‘Edge Of Calm’(Edge Of Calm) and ‘Lips Together(feat. Miyeon (MIYEON))’(Lips Together), as well as ‘Codes’(Codes), ‘Drip Drop’(Drip Drop), ‘Halfway Honest’(Halfway Honest), ‘Moment’(Moment), ‘Lovers(feat. JUNNY)’(Lovers), and ‘Summer’s Not Over’(Summer’s Not Over) in their original and Korean versions, plus ‘Moonlit Rain’(Moonlit Rain), the eleven tracks layer diverse sounds over restrained emotion, heralding a more mature musical world from Tiffany Young.
‘Edge Of Calm’ is an album that unfolds, through music and visuals, the moments when subtle tension just before calm intersects with serenity. A total of eleven tracks are included, including the Korean version of the pre-released song ‘Summer’s Not Over’. Tiffany Young not only participated directly across production, including album concept planning, styling and visual directing, and music video story work, but also took part in writing the lyrics for ‘Moonlit Rain’, infusing her unrivaled sensibility as an artist. She further delineated her own emotional arcs and storytelling with greater delicacy, demonstrating deepened authenticity.
The first solo full-length album by Tiffany Young, ‘Edge Of Calm’, will be released at 6 p.m. on the 20th through various online music platforms.
